Our Story

Clarence was born in Person County, North Carolina and grew up as the eldest of four brothers in a tight-knit family of sharecroppers. He is a graduate of Person County Senior High School and attended NCCU for one year. With a history of consistent, dedicated hard work in several industries, he retired from the Orange County Solid Waste Department with 31 years of service.

Denise was reared in Reidsville, NC. She is a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a work background in Retail Management, Medical Billing and Customer Service, she has spent the last ten years in the Non-profit arena on the staff of Dress for Success Triangle NC.

WHY WE CHOSE CAREGIVING

Our segue into senior care happened very naturally as our parents began to age.

Both of Clarence’s parents had Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Their four sons encountered many challenges obtaining the best care for their parents.

Due to an auto accident, Denise’s father became an amputee, and her mom became his primary caregiver. After he passed away, her mom developed advanced lung disease and COPD. In her last years, she was able to live at home alone with some in-home assistance from a family member.

The realities of assisting our aging parents provided for us a real life picture of the need for qualified, appropriate assistance for those who desire to live happily and independently as they age.

We have been friends with Wisdom Senior Care Owners for over 25 years, and we were aware of the high standards of compassion, integrity, honesty and impeccable service they have provided to the senior population in the Triangle for the past 19+ years. As we considered business opportunities, we knew that Wisdom Senior Care has a sustainable, successful model in the industry with happy clients. As a result, our decision to own and operate a Wisdom franchise was made easy.We look forward to continuing to serve seniors in Northern Wake County, Franklin, Wilson and Nash Counties in North Carolina.

We see Wisdom Senior Care system success in three essential areas:

Wisdom will work with clients until they get the best match of caregivers. Caregivers that match the personalities of their clients provide compassionate care of their clients.
The cornerstone of any agency is in scheduling caregivers team for each client. The system put in place takes the scheduling burdens out of owners shoulders as long as they desire.
Wisdom has an in-house training program for their caregivers to ensure that the company core values are followed in each clients' home as well as the team involved in the house. Wisdom Senior Care even has a licensed school to train CNAs in-house from the state of North Carolina.
The team concept approach to manage every client care ensures that there are no lapses in care provided. Additionally, there is always someone to talk to if needed to handle any challenge that may arise in the caregiving process.
